How our Cleveland Dentist Office Began
Even today there are patients who recall the days when our practice was located in a second floor walk-up office on Superior Park Drive. Founded in 1939 by Dr. Rubin I. Pyner, our philosophy mirrors Ruby's devotion to his patients and dedication to the practice of dentistry.
In that regard, Dr. Pyner served as a visiting clinician in the dental residency program at Mt.Sinai Hospital. It was here that he first became acquainted with Dr. Richard Streem. Upon completion of his residency and following a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy, Dr. Streem joined Dr. Pyner's practice. By this time, the office was relocated to Warrensville Center Rd. The two men continued to practice together until 1973. It was at this time that they met another resident at Mt. Sinai, Dr. Jay Resnick. Electing to expand their group, the two doctors invited Dr. Resnick to join with them.
More Dentists Join
In 1978, after 40 years in practice, Dr. Pyner decided that it was time to retire. Prior to his retirement, he oversaw the move to our present location in the Brainard Place Building. Shortly thereafter, Drs. Streem and Resnick met Dr. Evan Tetelman, a graduate of the Long Island College Hospital Dental Residency Program. In the early 1980s, he too joined the dental group.
Our latest addition, Dr. Jeffrey Young, became a member of our group in 2000. Like Drs. Streem and Resnick, Dr. Young is a graduate of the general dental residency of the Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
A Legacy of Devotion
Dedication to our patients, devotion to learning and love of the practice of dentistry is the legacy established by Dr. Rubin Pyner. Drs. Streem, Resnick, Tetelman and Young are proud to carry on his tradition, serving our patients with the finest in dental care.
