When a filling is required for one of our patients teeth, our office routinely utilizes bonded composite fillings. Composite (tooth colored) restorations have been used for over 30 years.

Composites are blends of ceramics and acrylics that produce an excellent filling material that is used to repair teeth with cavities or to replace worn out or leaky fillings. (Composites are also used to provide strong light frames for high performance aircraft like the stealth aircraft) Due to the large selection of shades available, the appropriate color shade can be blended right into your natural tooth color. Performed properly, we can create the effect that the tooth does not even have a filling.
They are also used for cosmetic purposes to brighten up your smile. Composite restorations are frequently used to correct chipped teeth, gaps between teeth, or even used as a new facing for deeply stained or old looking teeth.
Recently, the chemistry of bonded fillings has improved to the point that these fillings actually enhance the strength of a tooth. Composite restorations are safe and effective and can be done in one appointment.
With this type of restorative process, we are able provide for our patients stability, health, and wonderful esthetics simultaneously.
